I cleaned things up a bit on the new site. It’s got a new look applied to the same layout and it’s entirely flash with a little more (but still subtle) animation… which actually brought the whole size down by 200k. I do want to clean up the menu a bit more too by adding some suble movement to each of the icons as well, but it’s low priority at this point.
He’s getting cuter by the day. On his last few doses of antibiotics from the big scare (poor hound has his front leg still shaved up) but he’s really starting to show off his airedale personality! Sydney, on the other hand… his 14 year old sister… has been whooping his but into shape as she is not down with the little guy up in her mug.
It’s probably single handedly been the culprit of me spending too much time not doing the things I should be doing. Sorry hun. Sorry Vaughn. I am obsessed with Apps, finding them, using them and even writing them. If you haven’t seen what the buzz is all about, go here or download iTunes if you don’t have it, go to the store and click the App Store link. It’s amazing what people are thinking of for this device.
But I’ll leave my app review for another post and tell you about my portfolio, which is now available for the iPhone/Touch. Deal is, iphones don’t have flash support yet. So head on over to my portfolio from your iphone, a script will see you’re on one and send you to a new URL. Really cool thing is that it’s self maintained. I just keep my main portfolio updated and the iphone version pulls from an SQL database php and an API toolkit. It’s not a glamorous interface (yet)… but this is what it’s looking like…

I have been blogging since blogging has been around. Yet, repeatedly, I choose to go through a major redesign. Then I find out that the image sizes from the last design don’t lend themselves well to the new design so I ditch the previous posts. This is one of those dumb ass things I do and regret later on. Oh well.
Here I am again. And although I have been minimizing the re-designs (this design has been around for a while), upgrading to Wordpress 2.6 somehow corrupted my sql database and I can’t seem to get it straightened out - so I can’t recover my posts. Now I know why internet hosts provide a database back-up tool… and why the wordpress installer says to back up before you upgrade.
At any rate, my images folder isn’t corrupt so I’ll go through this folder periodically and re-blog some of the images I had already blogged in the past - just to get them back up. These happened to be some of my favorites of my son.
